What to expect while doing Physical Rehabilitation

We use a wide variety of techniques to get you feeling like the most excellent you!

Because of Dr. Conrad’s specialization and certification in physiotherapy by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the state of Texas allows our clinic the privilege of providing Physical Rehabilitation care.

Most patients who undergo Physical Rehabilitation are in pain and are learning new stretches and exercises that can help them move easier or reduce their pain. It also helps improve or restore physical function and can also improve a patient’s biomechanics. In addition to stretches and exercise, various modalities can be used as well.

These modalities include:

  • Electrical stimulation
  • Mechanical flexion and distraction
  • Compression therapy
  • Functional Trigger Point dry needling technique
  • Manual myofascial therapy
  • RockTape
  • Cupping Therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)

These forms of Physical Rehabilitation help decrease muscle tension as well as decrease pain passively.  Combined with the active exercises and stretching, this allows for the best combination for the best care available. Passive treatment means the patient has to do very little in order to feel less pain and inflammation in their soft tissues. Combined with the active component, this can help the pain and inflammation stay away.  This allows for the pain and muscle tension to go away, which helps promote healing.

The goal of Physical Rehabilitation is to make your daily tasks and activities easier, by getting you better, faster.
